Dogs can also be sensitive to fats and oils, so if your pooch has a history of pancreatitis or sensitive stomach, these may not be suitable.
It is best to avoid giving your dog people food in general. Human cakes are often very high in fat and dairy, which can cause gastrointestinal upsets and pancreatitis in dogs. Cocoa powder and chocolate can also be highly toxic to dogs. Dog cake kits are an excellent option because they include dog-safe ingredients.
