Recycled paper cat litter is an environmentally friendly option to line your cats toilet. These are completely biodegradable and safe to dispose of in the garden helping to reduce the amount of landfill. And for cats that dislike fragranced litters, paper is a suitable natural litter. No chemicals are added to recycled paper cat litter, with the material providing good absorbancy with natural odour control. In general it is both an economical and eco friendly solution.
Fill the litter box with about 2-3 inches of the recycled paper cat litter. You may need to change the tray at least once a week. Remove solid faeces and dispose of used litter into the garden or compost. Avoid putting it into garden beds with edible plants like lettuce or tomatoes. You can also place the paper litter into the green bin after removing solid waste; but double check with your local council before doing so.
No, you cannot flush recycled paper litter down the toilet. Although it is biodegradable so you can use it in compost or as garden mulch.
