No one knows the value of tough dog toys better than pet parents of power chewers! For those dogs that play hard and chew harder, our collection of tough dog toys is designed to withstand the test of time. Dive into a range of rugged toys that not only entertain but also stand up to sharp teeth and strong jaws. At Pet Circle we stock a wide range of tough and durable dog toys from leading brands like Kong, Aussie Dog and Nylabone perfect for breeds like Staffies, Labradors and others to satisfy their chewing instincts.
Durable dog toys provide stimulation and enrichment, essential for high-energy breeds especially when owners are away. These toys are designed to last, resisting aggressive chewing and play. This durability makes them more cost-effective too, as they need less frequent replacement than softer dog toys. Moreover, they're crafted from safe, non-toxic materials, minimising potential harm.
Tough dog toys are also great for dental health with robust designs that encourage beneficial chewing. Specifically, rope toys assist in dental cleaning as their fibers interact with a dog's teeth.
Durable dog toys are essential for strong chewers, high-energy breeds, and large dogs. However, all dogs can benefit from long-lasting playtime options. Start by assessing your dog's size and breed. When selecting any toy, especially durable ones, this ensures reduced risk of choking or ingesting broken toy pieces. Opt for a toy that's appropriate to chew, yet too big to swallow.
Material matters too. The best tough dog toys often consist of rubber, nylon, or heavy-duty fabric, with various shapes and textures available, rotate toys to maintain your dog's interest.
Just remember - No toy is indestructable! To ensure that playtime remains safe and fun, always supervise your pet with new toys, inspect them regularly during and after play and remove them if they become damaged or unsafe.

There can be several possible reasons why your dog may exhibit this behaviour, whether towards toys or furniture or other items at home. It could be your dog is just too strong for their toys, in which case, it may be worth investing in some tougher, stronger ones.
It could also be a way for them to get your attention (and it often does!) and we can inadvertently reinforce the behaviour when we make a fuss every time it happens. Boredom, stress, separation anxiety are all factors as well and this can manifest as destructive behaviour.
